News: 05/28/08

added some new artwork. been using new software to create some, slightly less cheesy stuff.. than I've done in the past..

and I put the distribution list back up on the front page.

News: 08/11/07

digital distribution is in the works, and a few retailers are already selling 'evolve' tracks and the entire album. check out the front page for currently available distributors.

to get the rest of the tracks available on the dvd rom (back catalog), you still have to buy the physical product..

News: 04/15/07

I expanded the info section with alot more... errr... info!

News: 04/06/07

cd is now available at CD Baby.

News: 03/18/07

everything's done!

the finished product (Progtronic - Evolve) arrives on tuesday the 20th! it's a 2-disc set (Audio CD, DVD-ROM). the DVD-ROM (Retrospect) contains my entire back catalog of music plus a bunch of previously unreleased tracks. 167 tracks in all, in AAC format at 44.1kHz in 3 bit rates (128, 192 and 320kbps).

electronic distribution of my entire catalog is currently in the works. I hope to have the physical product available in a variety of online stores soon.

News: 01/8/07

all the music for my latest cd is complete. now I'm working on the dvd-rom portion. more on that later...

News: 08/9/06

my EXTREME apologies to anyone who's tried to email me over the past year. apparently my email stopped redirecting around 7/11/05 and I just recently found out about this.

I'll be sorting through all my past emails and replying to everyone who tried to get in touch with me.

News: 07/17/06

another remix is up. "My Secret Bliss" by Afro Celt Sound System. listen to it HERE.

News: 07/11/06

wow.. nearly a year since my last news update.

still trying to finish that cd.. 2 more tracks.

meanwhile.. I've done a remix of Peter Gabrel's "Shock The Monkey". you can check it out HERE.

News: 08/14/05

not sure about the future of my latest cd.

might be looking for another record company to distribute, so things are a bit up in the air at the moment. still hoping for a christmas release this year though.

News: 07/04/05

ok..

well.. it took quite a bit more than just a few weeks to get Reason 3 fully tested and released.

the good news is that it's done.. the bad news is, that even with all that testing, there were still significant bugs in the final release. they'll need to be patched, before I can continue production on the rest of my new album.

that's it for now. hope to continue work on my album soon.

News: 11/28/04

there won't be any updates for a while. I'll be beta testing new software for Propellerhad over the next few weeks.

News: 10/28/04

another new track up in the temp area.

it's called "Underworld".

also uses the new Reason Drum Kits refill.

News: 10/17/04

I may have gone completely insane...

check out "Carol of the Bells", on the present music page, under "bonus tracks".

my very first, mangled, holiday classic..

News: 10/12/04

that new track, with the new drum refill, is up.. for a couple of weeks.

you can get it here.

News: 09/29/04

I've recently ended beta testing a new product for propellerhead software.

Reason Drum Kits "A massive supply of exquisite drum samples with unprecedented sonic realism and detail"

massive is right.. took me several weeks to work through the test protocol. it's an excellent collection of realistic drums that I'll probably use on every track I produce from now on.

I'm currently working on a new, whacked out, track. you'll be able to hear the new drum kits refill, in practical use, for yourself.

I'm considering puting up a Reason section on this site that would include reason tips & tricks, examples.. and maybe even a few freebie custom refills. dunno though.. still thinking about it.

News: 08/07/04

implementing some great ideas given to me on a bb I hang out on.. adding a press area with extended reviews and info. there's not much, but I'll see what I can do with what I got.

may also try adding a Reason section somewhere. Reason's the music program I use to do all my latest music. may have a few tips and maybe even some patches to share with the community. have no idea where the heck to put it..
...
ok.. I added the press area. I simply suck at promoting myself.. I hope it looks ok.

News: 08/06/04

spent the last two days uploading mp3's.. a couple tunes per cd, of some of my older cd's and the newer stuff..

next I'll tackle the art section. gonna have to search through a bunch of old discs to find all my old artwork I want to upload. still not sure how I'm gonna design that section..
...
I cheaped out like crazy in the art section.. in terms of pop-ups for the thumnail images. I figure it'll be alot easier to add new images.

still need to add a bonus tracks area somewhere in the music section..
...
ok.. so.. the contact page was completely screwed up.. I blame the tagbox and it's funky php scripting.. what do ya want for free?.. anyway. it should be ok now. tag box has it's own zone to cause havoc.
...
added the bonus tracks to the music/present page..

I think I'm done..

now.. I can sleep..

News: 08/04/04

ok.. the site went live way faster than I thought it would.. so now I gotta hustle and get more content up here.

I was gonna put up a php bulletin board in the contact section, but someone just told me they had their entire site jacked through one.. so forget that idea.

the tag board I have planned should be safe.
...
ok.. tag board is up. way easier than I thought it would be.

I hope it's safe..
...
just added an amazingly ugly guestbook.. at least it works. the others I tried had buggy admin panels.
...
a portion of the music section is up now. gonna make a few mp3's of my old stuff available. it'll take a week to upload 'em all though.. gotta hate dial-up.

progtronic.com is under construction!

this site is modeled after my old tronicspace.com website. just working my way through each section, adding graphics and basic content as I go along. the music section will be challenging...

hope people don't hate the graphics... particularly the HUGE corner graphic.

it's an old trick to help fill up space on low content sites. I'm designing around a basic 800x600 monitor reference. also taking into consideration folks who have big monitors and high resolution settings. this site should look pretty good on 17" monitors set at 1024x768 with the browser maximized.

the look & feel of everything is based on my upcoming cd.

the funky, stretchy graphics code I'm using on the right and bottom borders won't work well on alternate browsers. whole site is pretty much designed for the latest Internet Explorer and Netscape browsers.

that's all for now. back to work...
